Product Description
Also known as Heat Reflective Glass, Solar Control Glass is a coated glass that exerts a definite control effect on sunlight and solar energy. One or more layers of metal or metal compounds — chromium, titanium or stainless steel among them — give the glass a rich color, an appropriate visible light transmittance, high reflectivity for infrared and a high absorption rate for ultraviolet rays.
While keeping indoor lighting soft, it shields the incoming solar radiation energy effectively, prevents the greenhouse effect and saves the energy consumed by indoor cooling and air conditioning. The glass works as single layer glazing for windows, doors and curtain walls, or as the substrate for high-performance insulated glass units. When installed as single layer, the coated surface should face indoors to improve service life and achieve the maximum energy-saving effect.
AUGTON GLASS coats and supplies this glass direct from the factory in clear, grey, green and black, in thicknesses from 3mm to 12mm, with jumbo sizes up to 3660x2440mm and customized dimensions for architectural projects worldwide.
