Sheets of glass from 3mm to 8mm are laminated around a premium acoustic PVB interlayer, offered in 0.76mm and 1.52mm thicknesses. Because the viscoelastic core damps vibration in the critical 1000-2000 Hz band where traffic and human noise is concentrated, sound transmission drops noticeably while full safety performance is retained.
