Product Description
Named after its 'U' shaped cross-section, U-profile glass, also known as U Glass or Channel Glass, is a relatively new building material. Production begins with batch materials consisting mainly of silica sand, which pass through melting, forming, annealing and cutting.
Strength: with longitudinal wire reinforcement fitted, the annealed glass reaches 10 times the strength of normal flat glass of the same thickness. Translucency: light passes through the high light-diffusing patterned surface with minimal reflection, ensuring privacy within the glass curtain wall.
Appearance and value: a simple, modern, line-shaped look free of metal frames, with curved-wall construction possible. Our U glass is cast directly in profile form with embedded wire reinforcement, then annealed and cut to project lengths. Surface patterns are rolled during forming for a consistent light-diffusing finish along the full channel.
