Product Description
High quality clear glass, low iron glass, tinted glass or pattern glass goes into every table top, offered tempered or non-tempered with a choice of edgework and options to combine laminating, acid etching or rolled printing.
Safety is the key advantage of tempered table tops: breakage produces small, blunt-edged fragments rather than dangerous shards. An 8mm toughened top withstands a 500g steel ball dropped from 2 meters, whereas normal annealed glass breaks from just 0.3 meters. Bending strength reaches about 120 MPa and thermal resistance 200 Celsius, with testing to BS EN 12600 and BS EN 12150.
AUGTON GLASS manufactures table tops from 6mm to 19mm for dining tables, coffee tables, desks and conference tables - genuinely custom glass in any quantity, with polished edges and drilled fixings per drawing.
