Stained Opalescent Glass
QR
Product Description
The workhorse of American-style Tiffany studios, opalescent glass gets its character from milky opacifiers mixed into the colored batch, so the sheet glows softly instead of passing a clear image. Colors blend and streak within the body, creating depth that reads beautifully in daylight and lamplight alike.
11 color families are available, as solid opal tones or streaky mixes: Purple, Copper Red, Water Red, Green, Blue, Orange, Gold Powder, Gray, Yellow, Red and Brown. Lampshades, windows and panels are cut from standard 780x962 mm sheets at 2.8-3 mm thickness, scoring and cutting cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer custom processing?
Yes. Custom cutting to your cartoon with grain direction matched sheet to sheet; copper-foil ready edges or fully leaded panels on request - just send us your drawings, sizes or special requirements.
What certifications do your products hold?
Our stained glass sheets are produced on dedicated colored-glass lines and inspected sheet by sheet for color, texture and thickness tolerance. Each batch ships with a packing list keyed to color codes for easy reordering.
How is the glass packed for export shipping?
Sheets are packed flat with interleaved paper between every sheet and corner protection, then crated in seaworthy wooden cases (1100×400×1000 mm, 68 sheets ≈ 51 m² per crate). A 20 ft container loads 30 crates and a 40 ft container 60 crates; mixed-color orders are labeled per color code so your workshop can pick sheets directly from the crate.

Mouth-Blown & Rolled Colored Glass Lines
Metal oxides are added to the molten batch to create through-body color, then the glass is mouth-blown into flat sheets or rolled with textured rollers for cathedral, granito, ripple and water-glass surfaces. Sheets are annealed slowly for even color and stress-free cutting, inspected sheet by sheet, and packed flat with color-coded labels for easy reordering.
