Tinted Glass
QR
Product Description
In the float process, small quantities of metal oxides are added to the normal clear glass mix to produce tinted float glass. Its visible light reflectance is even slightly higher than that of clear glass. Because the body absorbs a large proportion of solar energy, solar transmittance drops — bringing glare reduction, heat insulation and daytime privacy.
AUGTON GLASS holds strict tolerances on colored glass: precise quality control keeps every tint the same within a batch and across batches, year after year. Together with a range of vibrant colors, excellent performance characteristics and broad post-production treatment possibilities, tinted float glass is an ideal choice for architects on any new construction or renovation project.
Buyers can order this body-tinted glass straight from the AUGTON GLASS plant, with the full color series available and sizes cut to project requirements.
