Product Description

Hard-coated Low-E glass is the on-line type: the coating is applied to a float glass substrate inside the tin bath through a pyrolytic process known as the online CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) method. This hard coating delivers stable chemical and mechanical performance, high light transmission, high durability and easy processing.

AUGTON GLASS on-line Low-E is a coated glass featuring high reflectivity of medium and far infrared. Its emissivity falls to E=0.17, against E=0.84 for ordinary clear glass, which makes it an efficient energy saving building material thanks to its heat insulation performance. It works as a single layer and is fully processable for insulating, laminating and tempering.

AUGTON GLASS applies the on-line coating in-house and exports Low-E glass direct, stocking grades for single glazing and further processing with flexible order quantities for buyers worldwide.

Key Features

  • Low cost — usable as a single layer or storable for a long period before further processing
  • High processability — the hard coating is easy to wash, thermally bend, temper, laminate or insulate; no edge deletion or special handling is needed for IGU
  • Long life — stable chemical and mechanical performance with high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-oxidation
  • Emissivity reduced to E=0.17 versus E=0.84 for ordinary clear glass — high reflectivity of medium and far infrared
  • High visible light transmission with neutral color aesthetics

Frequently Asked Questions

What thicknesses and sizes are available for Low-E Glass?

Low-E Glass is available in 3.2mm – 8mm. Jumbo sizes up to 3.66m x 12m are possible, and custom cutting to your drawings is supported.

Do you offer custom processing?

Yes. Accept customized size & processing requirements - just send us your drawings, sizes or special requirements.

What certifications do your products hold?

Our Low-E glass has passed multiple international authoritative tests and obtained complete conformity certificates, including CE, SGCC, ISO 9001 and other global market access certifications. All products comply with GB/T 18915.2, EN 1096 and international industrial standards, eligible for export to Europe, North America, Australia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions.

How is the glass packed for export shipping?

All glass sheets are separated by anti-scratch PE film, then packed into ISPM15 heat-treated solid wooden crates. We use rainproof plastic wrapping and reinforced steel strapping to fix the stacks firmly, effectively avoiding breakage during long-distance sea and land transportation. Forklift loading and container stuffing are available for bulk orders.

Production Line & Export Packaging

Advanced Automatic Production Workshop

Our on-line Low-E glass is coated in the tin bath during the float process by pyrolytic CVD technology, where the hard coating is chemically bonded to the glass surface. Online defect inspection devices guarantee consistent coating quality, and the coating remains stable through tempering, bending and laminating.
