Product Description
In photovoltaic modules, solar glass serves as the high-transmission textured cover: the glass is rolled with a mistlite, prismatic or matte pattern that traps incoming light inside the module and lifts energy yield. Because the iron content is low, solar transmittance reaches up to 95% once an AR coating is applied.
During module manufacture the textured face helps the lamination process, though it can equally be oriented outward if the design calls for it. The PV industry standard is fully tempered 3.2mm, while 2-4mm serves lightweight and bifacial module designs. Rolled, float and bifacial types can all be supplied.
