Product Description

Also called AR glass, anti-reflective glass is created when magnetron sputtering applies an anti-reflective film to single or double faces of low iron glass, greatly lowering the surface reflectivity. Light transmittance peaks at 99%, and surface reflectance falls from 8% to less than 1%.

High transmittance, low reflection and true color restore are the outcome. Average visible light transmittance above 97% markedly improves the original brightness of LCD and PDP displays while cutting energy consumption, and the film layer - with hardness equivalent to glass (higher than 6H) - withstands all kinds of cleaning without damage.

Temperatures up to 650 Celsius pose no problem for AR glass, whereas acrylic survives only 80; 3mm AR glass equals 6mm acrylic in impact performance and offers far better flatness. AUGTON GLASS delivers AR glass for display covers, museum showcases and high-transmission architectural projects worldwide.

Key Features

  • Peak visible light transmittance of 99%, with an average above 97%
  • Surface reflectance reduced from 8% to under 1% (lowest below 0.5%)
  • Combines high transmittance, low reflection and true color restore
  • Film hardness on par with glass (higher than 6H) survives repeated cleaning undamaged
  • Handles temperatures up to 650 Celsius against acrylic's 80 Celsius
  • 3mm AR glass matches 6mm acrylic in impact resistance and beats it on flatness
  • Lamination gives AR glass certain UV resistance functions
