Spider Curtain Wall
QR
Spider curtain wall (point-fixed glazing) suspends glass panels on spider fittings and countersunk bolts, eliminating visible framing almost entirely. The result is a frameless, all-glass architectural skin with maximum transparency — the signature look of landmark lobbies, airports, museums and flagship storefronts.
Solution Overview
Panels are always heat-soaked tempered or laminated safety glass, drilled with countersunk holes and fixed by 90° / 180° spider brackets in cast stainless steel. Glass is separated from metal by nylon bushes, so point loads are distributed evenly and thermal movement is absorbed without stress. Supporting structure can be steel trusses, tension rods, glass fins or cable nets — chosen to suit the span and the architectural concept.
AUGTON GLASS drills and countersinks to your project drawings, supplies glass fins up to jumbo size, and can pre-assemble spider systems for export. Every batch is heat-soak tested and packed in custom crates for long-distance shipping, keeping the frameless finish flawless on arrival.
